I'd like to know who/what's motivating the rating system on the threads. I glanced at some of the forum rules, faq, did a search, and I couldn't find anything. How do these threads get starred?
Reasons for wondering:
-I see some poorly-starred ones that seem OK, and I'm wondering-- "What's so special about these posts that they require special recognition of being mediocre? Does that mean they're especially bad, or just slightly above-average?"
-Whoever is doing it, they're a goddamn cock-tease. I came here to the off-topic section, look at the list of topics and I'm like, "Where can I read posts of Cosy?"-- That's a great fucking question! AND It's five-starred. I bet someone answered it...
No one answered it. I am disappointed, star-giver.
---
EDIT: NEVERMIND. Apparently there's a "Rate This Thread" thing right there in the top right corner for everyone to see... I'd say this post deserves 5 stars, no?
OK. ok. 3 stars.
